Well its been way to long ...To long since I have seen this picture of Devon with Santa in his Kindergarden Class:

Ive been able to finally figure out how to use this:

I was so happy that I was able to finally use my Bow Easy, and will be using this more and more now so expect to see bows in my layouts. And here is another layout from our Family Christmas Celebration 2010!

Heres a little close up of the pretty Tag that I made.. Thanks to Jenn from the Scrapbox for putting together a bunch of Tims 12 days of Christmas Tags;

I really enjoyed getting back to my scrapbooking nook in the basement and my lovely hubbie spent so much time making it a beautifully organized place for me! Thanks for looking.

This Boy .....

NEW YEAR .. its been too Long ...

Its been too long !! A bit of an understatement YAH THINK?? WE have been up to too much to mention but out with the old and welcome 2012 !! Devon started grade 12 and we are proud to say that he's at Sir Wilfred Laurier High School, doing a specialized SHSM program that the OCDSB offers. Basically it's specialized programs for our High School G11 and 12 kids to take where they get to concentrate on one specific profession. Devon is taking Sports Broadcasting and he is loving it! Becuase the school is in Orleans he is staying at his Dads house during the weekdays and comming home most weekends. Its quite diffrent without him here I have to say! But MommaBear is managing to keep the emotions under control. Gavin started JK this September and all I can say is WOW. He's doing such an amazing job at adapting to the diffrent schedule that being a school aged kid can be! I can't believe that he can spell his name outloud now !!! amazing what a little education will do huh !! Daddy is sure loving being home with Gavin in the mornings! ITS BEEN a great big adventure for sure! Ive been doing a bit of this and that! Sadly not blogging but for sure plan on doing more of that this year! Stampin Up is celebrating with SALE A BRATION and what fun did we have at my dear friend Heather's this past Sunday! Check out her blog at www.thecardist.blogspot.com. Friday Night Workshop night :)

Oh how I have missed my girls :) love you all so !

The holidays have totally ran me over and I am so happy to have my Scrappy Room back together :) Little G is not sleeping through the nights ( 30 months old ) any suggestions :0 gesh i've tried it all, he just wants a snuggle, or socks on, or a book, or the blankets back on, or a drink etc etc etc .. you see my problem :). He goes down at 7:30 sharp without a hitch, but 1 or 2 or 3am night calls are driving me CRAZY ! but hes cute! and I love him. I get a little crazy and thats why I love teaching and creating :). Thanks to my pal J shes so good to me and helps me with little G when I need her, or plain old comes over to just keep me company :)

Happy New Year!
I know, I know im a little late :) but in my eyes its better late than never !
The holidays were great for us ! besides little G getting a bug, and C and I getting it right after :) and oh did I mention that G is sick again!!! yes AGAIN! it seems that he is on the mend this morning :)

Here are a few name plates that I did before the holidays. I took a flat 6x8 canvass covered it with paper and altered some chipboard letters and voila ! Beauties if I say so myself :)

Today it most definately not me who let little G sleep in just to get a little extra bit of me time. It was not me who decided to bring him to daycare for an additional extra Moi time today. I did do my monday clean up but it was not me who spent the morning catching up on Greys Anatomy. oh yes did I mention that it was not me who let little G eat in the living room while watching a Scooby Do marathon? oopsies..
oh yes i did not go to the grocery store today with full intentions in getting all the ingredients for a yummy apple crisp from scratch ... only to stumble on a ready quick :) hopefully everyone will love it.

Well its that time of year again, turkey, pumpkin pie, good friends and family.
Im not perfect but I do try to be thankful for all that I have. My children who make me smile everyday, my husband who makes me proud to be a momma, my family who love me no matter what, my friends who will always be there for me! I have a great life and want to live it!

Halloween time

Ahhh Fall is here, its cold and damp and we all know what is around the corner.. Halloween ! This year most likely I wont get my 15 year old into a costume but I
know that little G will be having a blast. D will come along for the fun and to claim the candy that his little brother cant eat in the end. Cant Wait!

Oh how I love September !
The kids are going back to school, Summer madness is over, cold mornings warm afternoons, and most of all FALL/WINTER Close To My Heart Catalogue comes to life and its just BEAUTIFUL!
Thank you CTMH for once again produceing yet ANOTHER amazing Idea Book!
I have to say this is always the time of year that I anticipate the most because I know that CTMH will deliver ! and they sure did .

Another BG layout..

Hi all !
Thought that i would share a layout with you !
it took me some time to get it done but i just love how it turned out!
this is my hubbie and the kids in my freinds Suite at the Scocia Bank Place watching the Senators Game. We always have a great time when we go and this is not an exception for sure. D (my 14yr old) stared to like hockey at about age 3 and G is following suit thats for sure! Thank you to my best bud S for having us.. we always have a great laugh and always walk away (win or loose) happy as can be!
all products used are from the BG stuff that i got at Scrap That ! and the sketch is from 52 sketches 52 weeks sketch #30.

Some new layouts and Christmas in JULY

Well as you can tell Ive been a little busy scrapping lately. I received my kit from Scrap That and some extra goodies that I ordered! thought that i would try out the Basic Grey and all their embelies and I just love the layouts that came out of it! here are two for the July Challenges that are on the Scrap That Social Network.

And next are some xmas cards that I made. the template is from the Wishes Card Confidence book that is written by the CEO of CTMH (Jeanette Lynton) and what an amazing book this is. You have EVERYTHING you need in it and then some. There is a few really great card workshops and here is my interpretation of one of them! Hope you like !

I did it ! i got the GIG !

I got an email this morning stating that I won the GDT challenge on Scrap That! isn't that great ! I'm so thrilled and honored to be a part of the team for July. don't forget to visit their store at http://scrapthat.ca great shopping there, and why not join the social network too by clicking on the blinky on the right hand side of my blog. Its a fun place to showcase your work and to get new ideas and of coarse to make some great friends. Speaking of that .. I just wanted to take this opportunity to say thank you to the SCRAP THAT design team and all their kind words and encouragement that they give me ! Its hard to find friends who truly value their friendships. Its true about what they say (whoever they are) .. you can count your TRUE friends on one hand.. and growing up I wanted everyone to be friends and wanted everyone to be my friend. Just realized that this cannot all happen and I'm sorry that it took me so long to figure that out. But as they say you grow fonder with age and that my friend is true. That I know this for sure ! I know who my friends are they know that I'm theirs and they never have think twice about it. I love my peeps and you all know who you are ! And I'm happy that i have a beautiful family that loves me no matter what ! :) Enough about me and my rant .. (i promise these days are few and far between)

Ok week four really did sneak up on me! I came home from work yesterday to find DH happily painting my entry way / hallway! This is what happens when you leave him home alone. It did need to get done and im gratefull that he has taken on the challenge however that is taking alot of our time right now and with Gs bday quickly approching we have no TIME! oh did I mention 19 adults and 12 kids will be at my house for Gs bday party!? yes thats right we are having BBQ and everyone and thier brother, cousin, grandparent, aunt and uncle is comming!

Wow another week has gone by. Where does the time go ?

Its been so busy for us had to coach my 14 year old on how to take care of a 2 year old (only for an hour thank god). DH got a new job ( but hes doing the two right now). I learned that I do NOT ever want to be a single parent.

Some of you may know Ive been known to do a little online shopping and in my travels I found Scrap That! Its a great online store for all your scrapbooking needs or obsessions.

Here are the details of your first challenge."Loving the Bling"Create a layout[s] with Bling...it can be ANYTHING Bling-y! You can use the Bling Bazzill Cardstock, stickles, gems, rhinestones, shiny paper, whatever you'd like! BUT it must also be a "LOVE" theme! June is a big month for weddings so we want you to use that as your theme. You can scrap a wedding picture, the person you love, a pet you love....as long as there's LOVE in your title and you've got some sort of bling, you are good to go.

I often frequent her store check her out at http://afinemess.ca and she had a similar canvass and when I saw it i knew that this was something that i would want to do .. forward 3 years I found myself last Saturday booking some studio time to make my masterpieces .. now they did not turn out as pretty as Jennas work of art .. masterpiece i think .. but I must say .. these are definately going up on my wall right above my couch in the main floor living room!

I know its a teeny tiny tad late but Happy Easter!
We had an amazing weekend started off on Friday with having friends over for dinner after Gena and I took a trip to The Scrapbox check it out (http://thescrapbox.ca/) cutest little store ever! And the owner is sweet as pie! check out her blog too at http://thescrapboxstudio.blogspot.com/. Got me some great products and a little gift too! On Saturday we celebrated my good friends little girls FiRST bday how cute was she. And back home to give little G a nap (and daddy too) then off again at night to our friends 50th bday party! that was a ton of fun! Sunday was a nice brunch at the Merlot ( nice revolving restaurant in the center of Ottawa) . And on Monday we had a great day at the park with little G and he had a blast !
Back to work for me and only 4days ! yippee..

So I came across this blog and Im gonna do it! Challenge myself ! here it is .. You may only use one piece of patterned paper and one piece of cardstock on your card or layout base. Any other things you add must be stamped or embellishments. Direct quote from Simply Creating blogspot (check her out at kristaritskes-simplycreating.blogspot.com ). Ahhhh Wednesday already and its my hubbys bday ! Happy bday sweetheart! love you and hope that you have a fab day ! here is the card that ive created for him. its all CTMH products 4x5.5 card. using Desert sand Ink and Its a Guy Thing paper pack (still available), as well as Good Time stamp set. Hope that you like it.. well hope that he does too.

In addition to this card ive been a busy scrapper with making door prizes for my First Gathering here is a sneak peek at what the main door prize ! its just too cute to pass up thats for sure. Close to My Heart has these level one paper packs that come with some Stickease. Ok I have to admit I have been using CTMH for years and never once wanted to use level 1 (always used level 2) and NEVER ever used Stickease. Since I became a consultant for CTMH I really have been broadening my horizons so to speak and decided to try out the level 1 paper packs ! Well here is the result and I have to say that I think that I am converted. You have to try it to believe it yourself. Sometimes going back to basics is really worth it!

My Space at home

So this is my messy space. Yes a little messy but its not always like this (especially when we have people over). Its my scapbooking space (and i mean little space ) in the basement of our home. This is what it would look like after a day of me scrapbooking. Originally we had agreed that once we moved into our home the third bedroom would be used for Scrapbooking and then G came along. Needlessly to say yes its messy and yes i still love it!

Finally I have the time to actually post some photos of my Artwork !

These are layouts that dont have photos yet ( i know ) I always found it easier to scrapbook the page then add the photos. For me it is always a huge task to take a photo and sit down and pick the paper that matches the picture. I know there are so many out there who would choose the paper to match the photo but it has always been a big deal for me and I would sit for a really long time ( too long if you ask me ) .

But thats what i love about Art you can do whatever works for you and it just all comes together!
